Costa Rica Mission Trip - March 5-12, 2016

Are you interested in world mission, adventure and making new friends? Looking for an opportunity for your family or high school/ college student to experience another culture while serving others?

This trip we will head back to the CEDCAS clinic in Los Lagos on the outskirts of San Jose. We will work on 2 apartments across the street from the clinic - dry walling, painting and possibly doing some electrical work. The income from these apartments will benefit CEDCAS financially and the units will provide affordable housing for staff. The nearby location of the apartments will improve Clinic and House of Health security. Having staff live close to the Clinic is one of CEDCAS’ safety systems. If the alarms go off for an intruder, CEDCAS personnel can respond very quickly.

We will also spend time with the local children when they aren’t in school, playing games and doing crafts. For those of you who sew, there will be an opportunity to teach the local women this skill.

The cost of the trip will be about $850 which includes accommodations, food, misc. (including exit tax) and ground transportation. Plane tickets currently range from $700 - $800. That brings the total cost to between $1,550 & $1,650. Those interested can do fundraising to help offset these costs. We also hope to raise $4,000 to support the project.

Red Clay has supported Latin American Missionaries in Costa Rica for over 20 years. We will be working again with CEDCAS, whose goal is to promote and maintain “whole person healthcare” for those they serve. We hope you will give this opportunity serious consideration.
