Prayer: Being Present to the Presence of God
How would you describe your prayer life? Is prayer something you practice regularly and with great intentionality, or mostly on Sunday mornings during corporate worship? Do you have long, intimate conversations with God, or do you tend to be a prayer popper, sending God the equivalent of quick, one line tweets or texts while you’re in the shower, on the run, or falling asleep? What do you consider prayer? Is it primarily about sitting quietly with bowed head while speaking eloquent words, or can you be in prayer while diapering an infant, preparing dinner, working in the garden, or taking a long walk? Is it about asking God for what it is we think we want or need, or about being in relationship with the Creator of all that is?
