 Just Mercy

As Christians, we are called to do hard work of reconciliation, even when it may be uncomfortable.  The movie, and book it is based on, Just Mercy is a powerful story that deals with systemic racism and our criminal justice system.  As the films websites notes: “WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STORY. OUR FILM JUST MERCY, BASED ON THE LIFE WORK OF CIVIL RIGHTS ATTORNEY BRYAN STEVENSON, IS ONE RESOURCE WE CAN HUMBLY OFFER TO THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE SYSTEMIC RACISM THAT PLAGUES OUR SOCIETY. FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE, JUST MERCY WILL BE AVAILABLE TO RENT FOR FREE ACROSS DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN THE US.”

We invite you to view the film, and join Pastor Eric for a discussion on July 9th.  Do note that it is free to watch in the month of June, and we encourage you to take advantage of this powerful resource. To join us for the discussion, via Zoom, on July 9th click here
