From Pandemic to Progress
For more than 5 years, portions of Red Clay Creek's mission money has supported the Center for Development in Central America (CDCA) whose work has been focused primarily in Nicaragua, the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere. Sarah Junkin Woodard of the CDCA has visited RCCPC on numerous occasions, presenting the progress & struggles facing the people of Nicaragua as the CDCA works alongside them to promote grassroots development and authentic Nicaraguan crafts & clothing for purchase in Founder's Hall. Originally scheduled to visit in March 2020, the trip was canceled due to the pandemic. We invite you to join Sarah and the RCCPC congregation on Thursday, October 15 at 7:00 PM for a LIVE 25-minute Zoom presentation (slides, followed by question/answer). You’ll learn how the CDCA & Nicaragua are making strides in the areas of health care, organic agriculture, education, and more in the midst of COVID-19, with Red Clay's help.
