A local "Table of Plenty"

The St. John the Beloved/Mill Creek Outreach Center is a collaboration between St. John the Beloved’s Church Outreach Ministry, Community of Christ Church, Friendship House and surrounding churches.  The Ministry is a place for community and hospitality which operates out of Community of Christ Church, it’s facility partner, at 1205 Milltown Rd in Wilmington Delaware.  The Outreach center provides food and clothing to those in the local Mill Creek community who are in need.  Friendship House, a Delaware Homeless and Empowerment ministry, is the Center’s case management empowerment partner.  Friendship House is on site during the hours of operation to provide case management for the clients of the Center.  Other Church partners, (Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, Resurrection RC Parish, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church) will be participating in food drives, volunteer at the Center and may provide financial support to the operations of the Center. The hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9am to 11:00 am.  Occasional Saturday hours are 9am to 11:00am and expansion to additional hours is being planned.  They serve an average of 90-100 family units of our neighbors each week (over 400 people in total).
