Born in Allentown, PA, Barb is mother of two daughters and grandmother of 4. She is a strong advocate for children with epileptic Dravet Syndrome and autism and cures for brain and breast cancers.
Barb taught music in the public schools of Delaware and Pennsylvania for 23 years.
She retired in 2006 as Choral Director at Avon Grove High School, where she was awarded the prestigious Jesse Ball DuPont Educator Award by the Delaware Symphony Orchestra for her innovations in music curriculum.
She has been on the Staff of Red Clay for over 18 years, originally developing youth choirs and Sunday School and VBS, always singing with all vocal ensembles of Lauda, Chancel and Festival Choirs, soloist and cantor, Director of the Outreach, now Care Choir, leading Women’s Bible Study, and her new position as Pastoral Care Coordinator.
Barb is passionate about opera and sang with the Chorus of Opera Delaware and supporting roles for 17 years.
Humbled by Pastor Nate’s confidence in her ability to help him care for the Red Clay Congregation, Barb is honored by the opportunity to coordinate the Caring Ministries.
